A serious and heated situation erupted during the first ODI match between India and West Indies that left Team India skipper Virat Kohli furious.
The match took place at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on December 15.
During the nail-biting match, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was signalled run out even after no appeal was made from West Indies side nor on-field umpires. In the 48th over, Ravindra Jadeja was looking for a single when all-rounder Roston Chase hit the stumps.
Minutes later, Chase went for an appeal after watching the replay on the screen. Pollard immediately urged the umpire to take a look at the replay and referred to it to the third umpire. Only after that, the on-field umpire went upstairs to check for the run-out and Jadeja was given out by the third umpire for 21.
This dismissal during the match left Virat Kohli angry; he even came down to the boundary ropes.
Highlighting about the match, West Indies won the toss and elected to bowl. After Jadeja's dismissal, India lost Shivam Dube for nine runs in the final over.
