A day after his stellar performance in the final One Day International against New Zealand, Indian skipper Virat Kohli on Monday took the top spot in the latest ODI rankings. Much to the cheers of his fans, Kohli broke batting legend Sachin Tendulkar’s record with 889 ranking points, the highest of his career. ICC, in a statement, said, “The previous highest points tally of 887 was managed by Sachin Tendulkar in 1998 and by Kohli earlier this year.” Further, Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has reached a career-best third after taking six wickets in the series against New Zealand.
