Tensions have been flaring in the ongoing second Test between India and Australia at Perth. Indian skipper Virat Kohli and his Aussie counterpart Tim Paine have had a war of words for the past two days.
The verbal spat which started off at the end of Day 3, spilled onto the next day too. In fact, it escalated to a level where the umpire had to intervene and issue a warning. Nonetheless, fans have been left split, with Indians backing their beloved skipper, while the Aussies have slammed the skipper's behaviour.
Now, veteran Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah is not amused with Virat Kohli's antics and has said so in as many words, calling Kohli the "world's worst behaved player".
"Virat K is not only the world's best batsman but also the world's worst behaved player. His cricketing brilliance pales beside his arrogance and bad manners. And I have no intention of leaving the country by the way," Shah said in a post on Facebook.
"I know he's your captain but you can't seriously like him as a bloke," the stump mic caught Paine as telling Vijay.
Shah's strong statement invited the wrath of fans, who mocked the veteran actor for doing films like 'Dirty Picture' while Kohli plays for the country.
