VIDEO: BATSMAN FORCED TO RETIRE HURT AFTER BEING BADLY INJURED DURING MATCH
Home > News Shots > SportsOn the first day of the Sheffield Shield match at the Sydney Cricket Ground, an unfortunate incident stunned crowd and cricketers. The match was held between Victoria and New South Wales.
The unfortunate incident happened after Victoria batsman Travis Dean faced a hard blow to his groin from seamer Trent Copeland which became so painful that he had to leave the ground on an immediate basis.
Soon after being hurt, Dean dropped to his knees on the field with pain which shocked and surprised batting partner Nic Maddinson and their NSW players. They all rushed to check on his health.
Even after the match stopped and the batsman took some rest, the pain failed to subside following which Dean was forced to retire hurt. Dean could only score 11 off 27 balls in the match.
