The Indian Premier League (IPL) unleashed more favorites for the most-loving Chennai cricket crowd not just from Team India but around the World. As times passes so does the opportunities, age, fitness and other factors that contribute to remain in the game of Cricket. While the IPL 2020 Auction is scheduled on December 19, the following are the 3 CSK players who may play their last IPL in 2020 for the predicted reasons.
Imran Tahir
Tahir picked up 26 wickets at an average of less than 17 in IPL 2019 for Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The proteas player became popular for his post-wicket celebration style. Though he has been playing some exceptional cricket in the limited-overs format, he may quit IPL next year. Not just because he is 40-year-old but his recent retirement from 50 overs format after World Cup could be taken as the hint.
Harbhajan Singh
Harbhajan's stint in IPL could be seen as the benchmark for an experienced legend like him. He has played 160 games in the history of IPL. Undoubtedly his fan following raised high after he started representing CSK. Harbhajan's scope in the national team has reached a saturation point already. Though the 39-year old spinner has not yet announced his retirement from cricket, probably IPL 2020 would be his last edition.
Shane Watson
Shane Watson turned out to be the fighting warrior in last year's IPL, especially when he was batting with the wound on his leg. The 38-year old Australian stunner played a crucial role in CSK's title win in 2018. Though Watson announced his international retirement in 2016, he has been playing the limited-overs cricket for franchises. Reports say that he has been battling hard with his fitness in recent times which might be hard for him to continue the IPL after 2020.
