The well-known trick that most of the wicketkeepers use to take wicket by tricking batsmen will not be allowed on the field anymore as one of the new ICC rules considers this trick as a ‘fake fielding law’. The method is that the wicket keeper would first pretend as receiving a throw and then would let it go on to hit the stump. The new ICC law states, “it is unfair for any fielder willfully to attempt, by word or action, to distract, deceive or obstruct either batsman after the striker has received the ball”.
