TEAM SELECTION MEETING POSTPONED - SITUATION GETS TENSE REGARDING DHONI

The selection committee meeting was supposed to be held on Friday to pick the squad that will fly to West Indies to play three ODIs and T20s and two Tests in August and September.

But the meeting has been postponed and is expected to be held on Saturday or Sunday. One among the primary reasons is that the fitness report of the team members will be available only on Saturday.

"BCCI's cricket operations team needs to apprise the chairman of the availability of the captain for the meeting. The fitness reports of the players will be available on Saturday evening," a BCCI official told PTI.

There were speculations regarding Dhoni's future in the team - delaying the has made the situations tense as people will have to wait even longer to know whether or not he is included in the squad and what is Dhoni's take on his future.
