Star India has reportedly retained the worldwide television and digital rights to Indian cricket for the period 2018-23 at a whopping cost of Rs 6,138 crore and the IPL rights for the period from 2018-22 at a cost of Rs 16, 347 crores. The competitors at the e-auction that spanned for three days from Tuesday to Thursday for rights to Indian cricket were Star India, Sony Pictures Network India and Reliance.
