SRI LANKA ADMITS TO VIOLATING ICC CODE OF CONDUCT

Following accusations against Sri Lanka captain Dinesh Chandimal, the player, coach Chandika Hathurusinghe and manager Asanka Gurusinha accepted to violating the code of conduct of International Cricket Council (ICC). The council tweeted an official statement in which it said that in accordance with Article 5.2 of the ICC Code of Conduct, Michael Beloff will be appointed as a joint commissioner to hear the case.
Chandimal was caught applying saliva and another substance to the ball on the second day of the second Test against West Indies on Monday. Chandimal was punished with two suspension points and 100 per cent of his match fees.
