Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly has revealed that he was “desperate” to become the coach of the national cricket team. Speaking at an event on Friday Ganguly said, “When I got into administration, I was desperate to be the coach of the national side.” Ganguly also added that former BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya asked him to become the president of Cricket Association of Bengal for six months, saying, “He passed away, and none was around, so I became the CAB president.”
