POPULAR CRICKETER SMRITI MANDHANA REVEALS HER FAVOURITE PLAYER IN IPL 2020
Home > News Shots > SportsThe Indian Premier League (IPL) has always been cricket fans favourite tournament to watch. Despite watching each and every match, fans try not missing out their favourite stars performing on the field.
As every cricket fan has one special player, so does Indian women's team cricketer Smriti Mandhana. She recently picked one such player from Rajasthan Royals (RR) who has made her a supporter of the franchise this IPL 2020 season.
So far, the Royals remain one of the top franchises and are presently positioned at the third spot in the IPL standings. Among players like Steve Smith and Jofra Archer, it's Sanju Samson who has made headlines with his bat and fielding skills.
While speaking to India Today, Mandhana, admitted being a huge fan of Samson especially for his power-hitting shots that has made her a supporter of Rajasthan this season.
“The way young guys are batting is very inspirational to see. I think Sanju Samson, the way he is batting I have just become a huge fan of him. I have started supporting RR because of him. The way he is batting is crazy, next-level batting. I am thinking to learn from everyone who is batting and bowling well,” she told India Today.
“I am watching all the matches. I am quite biased with all the players and I have not got one team to support. I am not being diplomatic; I actually don’t have one team to support. I am supporting Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni,” Mandhana further added.
According to a Times Now report, Mandhana will soon grace the stage in UAE when she arrives with few of the top women's cricketers around the globe for a 'Women's IPL' event in November.
The dates for the event haven't been finalised yet, it is expected to be played from November 04 to November 09, while the final will then be held on November 10, Times Now further reported.
