The first game of the 3-match ODI series between West Indies and India became the much watched one after all the controversies and dismissal that made headlines.
During the game, West Indies batsman Shimron Hetmyer made a mark with his performance. He made his 5th ODI hundred in Chennai which took his team to an emphatic eight wickets win.
Looking at his whopping score, Hetmyer’s made 139 runs off just 109 balls among which he made 11 fours and seven sixes.
What caught everyone's eye during the match was, in the 5th ball of the 36th over when Ravindra Jadeja made a delivery- Hetmyer who was at the batting line smashed a 106 meter six onto the roof of the MA Chidambaram Stadium. Team India as well as fans were shocked to see it.
Among all the people, Indian skipper Virat Kohli was shocked as well as disappointed.
According to the score table, West Indies needs one win to grab the ODI series after T20I disappointment. Meanwhile, the second ODI will take place at Dr Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA–VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam on December 18.
