FORMER PAKISTAN CAPTAIN TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID-19; SHARES A SPECIAL REQUEST TO FANS!
Home > News Shots > SportsCricket fans were shocked after former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi took to social media and revealed that he has tested positive for coronavirus.
Afridi took to his official Twitter handle and broke the news, saying "I've been feeling unwell since Thursday; my body had been aching badly. I've been tested and unfortunately I'm covid positive. Need prayers for a speedy recovery," he wrote.
Last month, Afridi was in the news after he had stepped in to buy a bat owned by Bangladesh's Mushfiqur Rahim following a charity auction for coronavirus victims that was derailed by fake bids.
Highlitening about Afridi's career, he represented Pakistan in 27 Tests, 398 One-day Internationals (ODIs) and 99 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). Till date, he has scored 8,064 runs in ODIs, 1,716 runs in Tests and 1,416 in the shortest format of the game.
