Though India’s World Cup campaign has ended, Virat and men will be boarding the flight to Mumbai only on July 14, Sunday as per the reports. India’s loss against New Zealand by 18 runs had its share of drama and shock for Indian fans including rain delay, match pushed to reserve day and most importantly MSD’s run out by Martin Guptill.
After team India’s arrival, Indian skipper Virat Kohli and head coach Ravi Shastri will reportedly attend the World Cup review meeting of Committee of Administrators (CoA) appointed by the Supreme court. It has been reported that CoA meeting will involve the discussion of India’s performance in the ICC World Cup 2019.
According to the Times of India report, the CoA panel will have chairman Vinod rai, Diana Edulji and Lt Gen (Retd) Ravi Thodge. The meeting will also have discussions with the chairman of selectors MSK Prasad on the road map to T20 World Cup that is scheduled to happen next year in Australia.
Vinod rai had reportedly said, “We will certainly have a review meeting once the coach and captain are back from their breaks. I will not put a date and time but we will speak to them. Also, we will speak to the selection committee head on the road ahead”.
The Times of India reported that the meeting will discuss all the important aspects of team India's recent actions such as Rayudu’s exclusion, the inclusion of three wicket-keepers in the team and on top of everything, Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s batting order against New Zealand in the semi-final game.
