The most significant face of Indian tennis, Sania Mirza is back with a bang in the Australian Hobart International tennis tournament on January 15 2020 (Thursday)
Sania Mirza and Ukraine's Nadiia Kichenok defeated the American duo Vania King and Christina to enter the women's doubles semi-finals.
Sania and Nadiia defeated Vania and Christina in the tiebreaker by 10-4 after the quarter-final match was tied at 1-1 by 6-2 and 4-6.
The Sania pair will play against Slovenian-Czech pair Tamara Zidansek and Marie Bouzkova in the Semi-Finals.
The 33-year old Sania Mirza last played China Open tennis in October 2017. Later she had to suffer injuries and take a formal break to give birth to her boy child, Izhaan.
