SAM BILLING’S EMOTIONAL RESPONSE AFTER GETTING RELEASED BY CSK!

With the IPL trading window coming to a close, Chennai Super Kings released five players including Sam Billings, Chaitanya Bishnoi, Dhruv Shorey, David Willey and Mohit Sharma. Yesterday was apparently an emotional roller coaster ride not only for CSK fans, but also for the players who won’t be donning yellow anymore.

Sam Billings, fondly dubbed as Thambi Sambi by the yellow army, took to Instagram to share a video containing some of his memorable moments in the yellow jersey that he would cherish forever. “I want to thank everyone involved @chennaiipl for 2 absolutely incredible years; winning the @iplt20 & then runners up. I learnt so much and loved every minute.”

“This franchise has a very special place in my heart, and I am hugely grateful for the opportunity they gave me. The debut night at the Chepauk will always be one of my favourite memories on a cricket field. Thank you @cskfansofficial for all the #Yellove #ThambiSambi.”
