ROHIT SHARMA FINALLY OPENS UP ON RIFT WITH VIRAT KOHLI, ANUSHKA SHARMA  

The biggest controversy in the Indian Cricket Team 2019 was a rumoured rift between skipper and captain Virat Kohli and 'Hit-Man' Rohit Sharma. 

Ever since 2019 World Cup ended, reports surfaced social media that Kohli and Rohit were not in talking terms. To top it off, Rohit even unfollowed Virat and his wife Anushka Sharma on social media platforms which made it even more evident about their rift.

Recently, Rohit, who completed 12 years in international cricket broke silence on the rift and cleared the air. At a recent interview with PTI, Sharma stated that he felt sad and hurt when families were being dragged into things during the alleged ‘rift’ between him and Virat.

"Our families are there to support us, make us feel happy. When all these things were being written about, few of my friends came and told me and believe me or not, I was just laughing. But then it went on and on and they dragged my family and that was not on. You talk about me but don't drag my family as they genuinely don't care about anything else. I think even Virat (Kohli) must have felt the same way as families are an important aspect of our lives," Rohit told PTI.   

Despite the controversy and rumours, Rohit and Virat gave brilliant performances in 2019 and rightly contributed to the Team's score. Not forgetting, in T20 internationals, they both made the highest run-scorers across teams.

Currently, Virat is playing against Sri Lanka in a three-match T20I series while Rohit is away having his family time after a splendid last year.
