In the ongoing first ODI against Australia in Mumbai, Team India batsman Rishabh Pant suffered a concussion after being hit on the helmet by bowler Pat Cummins bouncer during the match.
Soon after being hit, Pant got himself dismissed in India's first ODI against Australia. When it was time for Australia to bat and score a 255, Rishabh Pant was not around on the field. To everyone's surprise, KL Rahul took the gloves behind the stumps.
Minutes later, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) took to their social media handle and tweeted saying, "Rishabh Pant has got a concussion after being hit on his helmet while batting. KL Rahul is keeping wickets in his absence. Pant is under observation at the moment."
The injury happened to Pant, when he was batting on 28 in the 44th over. It was when Cummins bowled a shorter delivery that took a top edge and crashed into Pant's helmet before going straight into Ashton Turner hands.
Talking about the match, India made a strong start but lost Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan and KL Rahul at 121-run. Check the photo below:
