RAVINDRA JADEJA RULED OUT OF T20I SERIES AGAINST AUSTRALIA; REPLACEMENT ANNOUNCED

In the first match at the Manuka Oval in Canberra, Jadeja suffered a concussion after which Yuzvendra Chahal replaced him in the playing eleven. Post the match, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was ruled out of the ongoing T20I series against Australia.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), in a release, confirmed Jadeja's concussion during the course of the game. He is also recovering from a hamstring injury that he suffered while batting.
Jadeja made a big contribution with the bat which turned out to be a vital one in the context of the match as his unbeaten 23-ball 44 guided the Men in Blue over the 160-run mark.
Meanwhile, BCCI has named the southpaw’s replacement as paceman Shardul Thakur, who earlier played in the third ODI. He had picked up three wickets in the match – that of Steve Smith, Moises Henriques, and Sean Abbott.
Coming back to Jadeja's injury, it all happened in the final over of India’s innings- after being hit by Mitchell Starc’s bouncer on the head, Jadeja was still on the field. Later, when he continued to bat, he suffered a hamstring and was also seen limping.
Amid the game, leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal walked in as his concussion substitute under controversial circumstances and ended up becoming the man of the match, owing to his bowling performances.
Chahal totally turned the game with his spell of 4-0-25-3, accounting for Aaron Finch, Smith, and Matthew Wade as Team India were easily able to take the lead.
