VIDEO: ANDRE RUSSELL FALLS ON GROUND TRYING TO ESCAPE BOWLER'S BOUNCER, IMMEDIATELY ASK FOR HELMET! 

Many a times batsmen have got injured on field either by running or being hit by the ball. Recently, such an incident on field is grabbing limelight. 

West Indies batsman Andre Russell was left shocked and gasping for air after he had an unexpected encounter by Afghan leg-spinner Qais Ahmad. During the ongoing Abu Dhabi T10 League on Wednesday, Russell faced an unexpected and perfectly-directed bouncer which left everyone shocked and stunned. 

The match was between Bangla Tigers and Northern Warriors which was taking place at Sheikh Zayed Stadium. In the video, it seems like Afghanistan spinner Ahmad found a new way to stop Russell from hitting boundaries to an extent that the player even fell to the ground trying to evade the speeding ball. 

After dropping Russell to the ground, the 19-year-old spinner immediately apologised while the wicketkeeper Tom Moores did well behind the wickets too. Soon after the delivery, Russell immediately signalled for a helmet.

“Oh..Wow! Wow! Where has that come from?” a commentator said. “Well, now he wants his lid (helmet), he’s asked for his lid now,” added another.
