The young lad Prithvi Shaw was issued a backdated eight-month ban on July 30 by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for a doping violation. Therefore, his back-dated ban ended on November 15 and he played for Mumbai against Assam in the Syed Mushtaq Ali domestic T20 tournament today (November 17).
Shaw scored a striking 63 off 39 balls, thus contributing to the victory of Mumbai in the match. The 20-year old celebrated his half-century by raising his bat and referring to his willow and one of the fans compared his signal with Indian skipper Virat Kohli. He captioned the picture "Welcome back Champion"

Shaw's innings included 7 boundaries and 2 sixes. "Getting back into the team will be the selectors' decision. As far as the team management is concerned, I think he's a phenomenal player. So let's see how it goes, how he shapes up after the suspension," India's new batting coach Vikram Rathour was quoted as saying by India Today.
Shaw became the talk of the town after making an impressive test debut by scoring 134 against West Indies in Rajkot. He had a pretty good test series after which he was ruled out of the Border-Gavaskar series in Australia due to injury. In 2019's edition of IPL, Prithvi Shaw scored a memorable 353 runs in 16 matches for Delhi.
It was only after the tournament that he was trapped in the dope test. Reportedly, Prithivi Shaw will be monitored closely by the team management in the upcoming domestic tournaments. However, it looks like Shaw has to really deliver a lot to get placed in the test team as Mayank Agarwal who registred his debut Test century recently and Rohit Sharma shinning in his opener role are topping the charts.
