The three-match Test series against the West Indies took off to a great start on Thursday. On his Test debut, Prithvi Shaw ended up making history.
Shaw became the second youngest Indian cricketer to score a century after Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar. Shaw came in with a reputation for scoring centuries in Ranji Trophy and Duleep Trophy, and now he went a notch further with his hundred at the International Tests arena. Shaw's century is also among one of the top five fastest centuries on a Test debut.
India won the toss and chose to bat first. Things seemed dark when India lost KL Rahul for a duck in the very first over of the match. However, Shaw and Cheteshwar Pujara took control of the fortress. India is currently at 214 for two.
💯👏🙌
