Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed is doing rounds on the internet after one of his acts on the ground was found resembling that of former Team India captain MS Dhoni.
During the 2nd ODI against Sri Lanka in Karachi, Pakistan set an astronomical target of 306 runs for Sri Lanka and the latter's batsmen seemed not really ready for it. Sri Lanka’s top and middle battle order crumbled when the team was only at 28 and the rest were later struggling to register at least a nominal score.
Fortunately things weren't the same, thanks to Snehan Jayasuriya and Dasun Shanaka. The duo brought back the momentum to Sri Lanka's side for an instance by managing to hit 177 runs until Jayasuriya was down with cramps in his hamstring. But that wasn’t the end. What caught the crowd was Sarfaraz Ahmed helping Jayasuriya overcome the issue before resuming the innings.
As soon as this happened, the Internet started comparing Sarfaraz Ahmed's kind gesture with that of MS Dhoni's to Faf du Plessis in an ODI series in 2015.
"Like Teacher, Like Student #SpiritofCricket #PAKvSL," commented one Twitter user. "Reminds me Dhoni & Faf," wrote another.
