FIRST ODI BETWEEN AUSVNZ CAUGHT UNUSUAL SCENES DURING MATCH; CHECK FUNNY VIDEOS!
Home > News Shots > SportsThe first ODI between Australia and New Zealand at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Friday provided unusual scenes which would be remembered for a long time. A day after, the World Health Organisation (W.H.O) declared coronavirus outbreak a pandemic, all kinds of sporting events suffered massively.
Talking about the ongoing New Zealand vs Australia series, Australia batsman Steve Smith and all-rounder Mitchell Marsh could not stop laughing after opening batsman David Warner missed celebrating his 21st ODI half-century. Warner, scored a 124-run opening partnership alongside captain Aaron Finch (60).
The fun does not end there, when Australia and New Zealand captains arrived on the field for the toss there was no cheer or applause from the crowd. Also, when Aaron Finch and Kane Williamson shook hands during the toss; they later realised the risk of handshake amid the coronavirus outbreak.
The highlight of the match was, a dummy, which was placed perfectly among the stand to not leave the stands empty. The photo of the dummy was also shared by cricket.com. Cricketer Lockie Ferguson, stole the limelight after he went into the stand to bring back the ball into play.
Even Australia's substitute fielder Ashton Agar had to do the same in searching for the ball which hid itself in the stand.
Talking about the match, with a 259-run target, Australia easily took on New Zealand for 187 in 41 overs and registered a 71-run victory. Watch all the unusual videos below:

The things you have to worry about as an international cricketer these days - fetch the ball if it’s been hit for a six into the stands off your teammate. These are truly crazy times. #AUSvNZ #SCG pic.twitter.com/Yyj2eXOcHO
