Excited fans feel that what Nicholas Pooran did during the match will be scripted separately in the books of inhuman and outlandish efforts.
The match between the two teams has become a much talked about one after KXIP put up a mammoth total of 224 runs but Rajasthan Royals, who got off to an awful start changed the game after all-rounder Rahul Tewatia hit 5 sixes in the 18th over against Sheldon Cottrell. Even, skipper Steven Smith and Sanju Samson showed a formidable partnership and helped Rajasthan towards the target score.
Talking about the stunning save, during the second ball of Murugan Ashwin's first over, KXIP's Pooran pulled off an incredible piece of fielding. Samson, who was batting on 26 off 14 balls, took on Ashwin's delivery to what seemed like a six! But, guarding the fence was the Windies cricketer who turned into Superman to save the day!
Pooran could be seen floated in the air and took the catch; he managed to throw the ball into the field before landing on the ground over the boundary line to save four runs for his side as Smith and Samson had already managed to take a double.
Meanwhile, KXIP’s fielding coach and legend Jonty Rhodes could not hold himself and gave Pooran a standing ovation. Check out the video and comments below:
