It was a tight one as whoever wins the match would directly land into the finals of the season. So both the teams gave their life for it.
Amid the match, what caught everyone's attention was the presence of Prayer Aunty in the stands. The lucky charm of Mumbai Indians (MI). She was spotted by the cameramen doing her usual prayers while the match was on.
Soon after being spotted, fans have been appreciating her for supporting her team.
According to Crictracker report, the aunty was first seen during the final match between Mumbai Indians and Pune Supergiant in 2017. It was when Pune needed seven runs off five balls, then the 'lucky charm aunty' closed her eyes and refused to watch the thrilling end.
By the end of the match, Mumbai lifted the trophy and fans appreciated her for the prayer she made for the team.
Overnight, prayer aunty became an internet sensation. Later it was revealed by actor Abhishek Bachchan, that the lady is none other than Nita Ambani’s mother. Nita Ambani is the owner of the Mumbai franchise.
Today, during the match between MI and DC, Nani is back in the stands for the first qualifier and Mumbai got lucky with her prayers. Talking about the match, MI won by 57 runs and currently enters finals.
