MS DHONI GIVES AWAY HIS NO. 7 CSK JERSEY TO HARDIK, KRUNAL PANDYA; 'WORRIED' FANS HAVE A QUESTION!
Home > News Shots > SportsAfter Mumbai Indians (MI) clash against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Friday in Sharjah, Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya got souvenirs to savour from none other than 'Yellow Army' captain MS Dhoni.
Ever since Dhoni retired from international cricket, his teammates have regretted not giving a proper farewell to their senior.
Talking about the match, MI beat CSK by 10 wickets to go to the top of the points table with 14 points from 10 matches while CSK currently remains at the bottom with all hopes of making the playoffs mostly diminished.
Meanwhile post the match, the Pandya brothers were seen posing with CSK captain MS Dhoni's jersey. The brothers had more than just the win to remember. “A memorabilia to cherish for the Pandya brothers” read the caption of the picture posted by Indian Premier League (IPL) on Twitter.
After which Mumbai Indians posted the same photo on their social-media handle with a question: "Whose wardrobe is this getting into?" To which Suryakumar Yadav was quick to comment: "Chalo no jhagda, mai le jaata hu (No need to fight over it, I will take it away and resolve the issue)."
This was not the first time when Dhoni gifted his jersey, even during CSKvsRR match, the former Indian captain gifted his No. 7 jersey to Rajasthan Royals (RR) wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler after his 200th IPL game on October 23.
Hardik also took to his Twitter account to share his love and respect for “Mahi Bhai”. This gesture of Dhoni has left fans curious as to whether this is Captain Cool’s last season in the IPL.
However after the defeat against MI, Dhoni said, “Well it does hurt. What you need to see is what is going wrong, this year hasn’t been our year. In only one or two games this year we have batted and bowled well together. Whether you lose by ten wickets or eight wickets it hardly matters. All the players are hurting, but they are trying their best. It doesn’t always go your way. Hopefully, in the next three games, we’ll try to put our last stand.”
