WILL MS DHONI RETIRE SOON? MANAGER MAKES IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING RETIREMENT! DETAILS
Home > News Shots > SportsFormer Captain MS Dhoni’s manager Mihir Diwakar has clarified that the Indian Cricketer will not be considering retirement plans at the moment. The announcement comes as a relief to fans who are waiting to watch him play.
The wicketkeeper batsman has not played any form of cricket since India’s World Cup exit last year. Developments related to Indian Premiere League (IPL) are uncertain due to COVID-19 and with that, Dhoni’s future too seemed uncertain.
However, Diwakar expressed that Dhoni is not done with cricket yet. He also said that his belief and desire to play especially intensified during CSK’s training camp in March this year
“Being friends, we don’t talk about his cricket. But looking at him, he’s not all thinking about retirement,” Diwakar told PTI. “He is very determined to play the IPL. He has worked really hard for this. If you remember he was there in Chennai one month in advance before everything was shut down.”
As per media reports, the BCCI is actively involved in ensuring that IPL takes place, in that case the chances of watching Dhoni back in action too are high.
Diwakar also stated that the cricketer has been spending most of his time at his farmhouse and has worked to remain fit during the lockdown and shall begin practice once the current Coronavirus situation improves.
“He has maintained his fitness regimen at his farmhouse and will start practice after the lockdown is lifted. Everything now depends on how fast the situation returns to normalcy,” Diwakar said.
