The Madhya Pradesh government on Monday announced a Rs 50 lakh cash award for the Indian women's cricket team, which finished as runners-up in the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup final on Sunday. The state Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan tweeted that the award will be given to the team at a grand felicitation ceremony in Bhopal. Notably, the BCCI too had earlier announced a cash award of Rs 50 lakh to each member of the women’s squad.
