POPULAR INDIAN CRICKETER ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT

After not playing for the last 12 years, Mohammad Kaif announced his retirement from competitive cricket on Friday. The 37-year-old cricketer has played 13 Tests and 125 ODIs for India. He is known for his match-winning performance at the Lords' during the Natwest Trophy final in 2002.
reportedly, Kaif wrote an email to BCCI's acting president, CK Khanna and secretary Amitabh Chaudhary explaining his decision. He reportedly wrote, ""I'm writing to you today to announce my retirement from all forms of first-class cricket."
Kaif last played for the country in 2006 against South Africa. Kaif lsot his posution in the Indian squad and started featuring in domestic cricket. He also entered politics and is often seen as a commentator and a cricket expert now.
