The first Innings of the KKR vs SRH match has been completed. All eyes were on David Warner to see how he goes about things having been out of international cricket for a year now.
But wow, he has announced his come back to the world in style smashing 85 runs off just 53 delivers. While Jonny Bairstow at the other end was struggling to get going, scoring 39 runs off 35 balls, Warner really made batting look much easier than it was out there. The pitch was a bit two-paced with a few deliveries holding on the wicket, but that didn't make a difference to Warner who was in sublime form.
Vijay Shankar managed to finish off the innings well for the SRH getting of 40 off just 24 balls, but getting David Warner out in the 16th over, thanks to a great diving effort from Uthappa, would have cost the SRH 10-15 runs.
Looking at the KKR bowling effort, Russell picked up two wickets and Chawla got one. Captain Dinesh Karthik was sloppy behind the stumps, letting a few opportunities slip, and SRH got to 181/3 in their 20 overs.
It will be a tough chase for KKR on this pitch against the SRH bowling attack and hence SRH will be favorites to win this game. But with Lynn, Narine at the top and Karthik, Russell to finish, it can get interesting.
