Followed by the not-so-good performance in the 1st test against New Zealand, Virat Kohli has lost his top spot in the Test rankings.
In the ICC Test Player Rankings, Kohli went down to the second position with 906 points. The 8th, 9th and 10th positions are secured by Ajinkya Rahane, Chateshwar Pujara and Mayank Agarwal respectively.
Australian hitter Steve Smith moved to the top of the table leading Kohli by 5 points. Virat scored just 2 runs and 19 runs in the first test against New Zealand at Wellington.
"After scores of 2 and 19 in the first #NZvIND Test, Virat Kohli has suffered a slip, allowing Steve Smith to move back to the No.1 spot on the @MRFWorldwide ICC Test Rankings for batsmen!," tweeted ICC with the complete list.
