Indian wrestler Kavita Devi became the first ever Indian woman to be signed by the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) on Sunday. Jinder Mahal, the current WWE champion, confirmed the news through Twitter during his special visit to New Delhi recently. Kavita, who had won gold at the 2016 South Asian Games in power-lifting, was trained by none other than the famous 'The Great Khali' at his Punjab based wrestling promotion and training academy.
Sending a huge congratulations to @KavitaDeviWWE and also @WWE for making history today. Kavita is the first Indian woman to sign with WWE.
