KAPIL DEV'S PHOTO FROM HOSPITAL GOES VIRAL! FORMER INDIAN CRICKETER SHARES IMAGE 

After the news about Indian cricket legend Kapil Dev suffering a heart attack made headlines, cricket fraternity and fans wished the Indian cricket spectrum a speedy recovery. 

Wishes poured in from all corners of the world as the news spread on social media. 

As per NDTV reports, Kapil Dev underwent angioplasty surgery and is currently stable and has reportedly been doing well since then.

As a sigh of relief to his fans, former India cricketer Chetan Sharma shared a photo of the 1983 World Cup winner, giving an update about the cricketers health. 

Chetan Sharma, who shared the picture of Kapil Dev from the hospital wrote; "Kapil Pa ji is OK now after his operation and sitting with his daughter AMYA. Jai mata di. @therealkapildev," Chetan tweeted. In the photo, the iconic cricketer could be seen with his daughter Amya. 

Meanwhile, the Fortis Escorts Heart Institute in Delhi, where Kapil Dev is admitted also issued a statement about the champion's health. “Mr. Kapil Dev came to Fortis Escorts Heart Institute (Okhla Road) emergency department at 1:00 am on 23rd October with a complaint of chest pain. He was evaluated and an emergency coronary angioplasty was performed in the middle of the night,” the statement said.

“Currently, he is admitted in ICU and under close supervision. Mr Kapil Dev is stable now and he is expected to get discharged in a couple of days," the hospital further added. 

Even Kapil Dev also took to social media to give his fans an update about his health. “Thank you everyone for all the love and concern. I am overwhelmed with the good wishes and well on the road to recovery," he wrote. 

Kapil, 61, is currently based in Delhi's Sundar Nagar area. A minor heart attack was reported after which an angioplasty was performed. He is expected to be back home in a few days.

He is one of the finest all-rounders that the cricket world has ever produced. He had also led India to their first World Cup triumph in 1983 where they defeated the West Indies in the final at the Lord’s.
