Javeria, reached the feat while playing against the South Africa in the ongoing ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020. Her dismissal was the turning point for Pakistan after which she demanded to ban it. During the match, when Javeria had no other option but to walk back to the dugout faced a game changing run-out.
The incident took place in the 11th over when Javeria was bowled by Chloe Tryon. The moment got captured when, cricketer Aliya Riaz who was on strike, hit the ball but it only managed to strike the bowler's hand and deflect on to the stumps.
Unfortunately, Javeria was outside the crease due to which she was run out. She was also seen expressing her frustration in the unfortunate run-out. Talking about the game, Pakistan lost the match by 17 runs and that led to being knocked out of the tournament.
After the match, during the post-match press conference Javeria expressed her opinion on her dismissal. She said that such kind of a dismissal should be excluded from cricket. After her unfortunate dismissal, she was really disappointed with the way she had got out and also added that it is a lesson for her she should watch the ball carefully and then run.
