Delhi Capitals (DC)have traded New Zealand fast-bowler Trent Boult to defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) for the next edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Secretary Jay Shah made the announcement through a statement. On the other hand, Uncapped Indian pacer Ankit Rajpoot will be joining Rajasthan Royals.
Boult who made his IPL debut in 2014 played for Delhi in the previous two seasons. The seasoned New Zealander found it difficult to get opportunities because of the South African bowling sensation Kagiso Rabada.
In the last season, Boult picked 5 wickets from 5 matches. Overall, he has 38 wickets from 33 IPL matches to his name.
As for Rajpoot, he has been playing for Kings XI Punjab for the past two seasons and has scalped 22 wickets from 23 matches. His best ever was when he claimed 5/14 against Sun Risers Hyderabad in 2018.
