Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is known for its cheeky social media presence ever since the launch of Indian Premier League (IPL). From giving loving replies to fans' posts to endorsing Tamil pride, we have seen it all.
Recently, a fan took to Twitter to express his anticipation up on CSK's auction plans. He used a couple of GIFs featuring actor Vadivelu with the captions "Auction la Sothapidaatha Dheivamey", "Ennaku unna nenacha thaan innum bayama irruku leo."
In response, CSK shared a GIF featuring Vadivelu from the movie “Manathai Thirudivittai” to its part as an act of console.
Kolkata is gearing up to host the auction for the coming edition of IPL today. A total of 971 players (713 Indian and 258 overseas) registered for the auction, out of which the franchises shortlisted 332. The eight teams will look to fill 73 slots, and a maximum of 29 overseas players can be picked.
CSK had released five players including Sam Billings, Chaitanya Bishnoi, Dhruv Shorey, David Willey and Mohit Sharma ahead of the auction.
