Kolkata is gearing up to host the auction for the next edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) in December. Despite not making many changes to the team in the past two years, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) might rope in some fresh talents for this season. To CSK, experience and accomplishments come first. That way, here are the three high-profile players who might steal the focus as per Sportskeeda.
1 - Jason Roy
Keeping the World Cup in mind, Jason Roy did not enter the 2019 IPL auction poll. With 443 runs in 7 innings at an average of 63.20, Roy played a significant role in England becoming the World Champions. An extremely skilful hard-hitter, Roy can be a perfect opening pair for Shane Watson.
2- Glen Maxwell
Just like Jason Roy, Maxwell did not enter the 2019 IPL auction poll to prepare for the World Cup. But when he shows up this time, CSK can aim. Maxwell can partner with MS Dhoni in finishing, for he has great six-hitting records under pressure situations.
3 - Ganesan Periyasamy
With Malinga-like bowling action, Ganesan Periyasamy was the leading wicket-taker of TNPL this year. The 25-year-old's 21 wickets in 9 innings at an average of 10.48 is expected to have impressed CSK.
