VIDEO: WHY CSK PICKED PIYUSH CHAWLA? STRATEGY REVEALED BY CSK OFFICIALLY!

The big bidding day began in Kolkata with much awaited news and beating hearts. The bid started from 1 crore INR and rose up to 1.50 crore INR until Chennai Super Kings (CSK) jumped into the race. 

During the nail-biting bidding war, CSK raged with Kings XI Punjab until the price hit to 6.75 crores INR. After hours of bidding Chennai Super Kings bought Piyush Chawla for a whopping sum of 6.75 crores INR.   

Minutes after the bidding, CSK officially revealed their strategy for picking Piyush Chawla to Star Sports Tamil. 

Chawla, who will turn 31 next week got the best birthday gift ever! He has becomes the fifth spinner in the CSK squad. While others like, Imran Tahir, Harbhajan Singh, Karn Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja are part of the CSK team.

During the auction CSK roped in Tamil Nadu star R Sai Kishore, Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood, England all-rounder Sam Curran and Indian player Piyush Chawla.
