Defending champions Mumbai Indians failed to make it to the playoffs of the Indian Premier League 2018 after they suffered a loss to Delhi Daredevils on Sunday.
Batting first DD, managed to post a decent score of 174/4 from their 20 overs. DD batsman Rishabh Pant continued his form to score an important 44 ball 64. Needing 175 to make it to the playoffs, MI struggled to get going and also lost their wickets at regular intervals. MI batsman Evin Lewis - 48 (31) scored some important runs at the top. DD bowlers kept it tight and made it hard for the MI batsman. A late flourish from Ben Cutting kept MI in the game but he too departed in the final over.
