IPL 2018: KXIP VS CSK, CSK FAILS TO FINISH A THRILLER

Kings XI Punjab defeated Chennai Super Kings by 4 runs on Sunday in a high scoring game to register their 2nd victory of the season.

Batting first, KXIP scored 197/7 from their 20 overs with the help of the openers KL Rahul 37 (22) and Chris Gayle 63 (33). Imran Tahir and Shardul Thakur picked up 2 wickets each for CSK.

Chasing a target of 198, CSK got off to a steady start but lost their wickets at regular intervals. MS Dhoni scored a career best of 79* (44), Ambati Rayudu scored 49 (35). Requiring 17 of the last over, good yorkers from Mohit Sharma restricked CSK from crossing over the line in yet another final over thriller.
