Mike Brearley, legendary former captain of the English cricket team was reportedly quoted as saying that Virat Kohli was one of the top three favourite captains of all time, along with Ian Chappell and Ray Illingworth. He praised Kohli saying, “I haven’t been close enough to Kohli but I admire him enormously, he has given the team pride and aggression. He is always attentive, keen eyed, he is a wonderful batsman and he is shrewd.”
