INDIA VS ENGLAND: TEAM FOR FIRST THREE TESTS ANNOUNCED

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday announced the team for the first three tests against England. An 18-member squad has been chosen for the matches. India is keen to win the five-match tests series against England after its loss in the ODI series.
The squad named is, Kohli (Captain), Dhawan, Rahul, Vijay, Pujara, Rahane (vice-captain), Nair, Karthik (wicket-keeper), Pant (wicket-keeper), Ashwin, Jadeja, Kuldeep, Hardik, Ishant, Shami, Umesh, Bumrah, Thakur. So India has opted for five pacers, three spinners, one fast-bowling all-rounder in Pandya. Since Wriddhiman Saha is still injured, Dinesh Karthik and Rishab Pant were chosen as two wicketkeepers.
Reportedly, Bumrah who did not take part in the ODI series due to an injury will be joining the game from the second test onwards.
