India will face Australia in their tournament-opener of the ICC Under 19 Cricket World Cup scheduled to be held from January 13 to February 3 in 2019 at New Zealand. India and Australia are placed along side Zimbabwe and East Asia Pacific qualifier Papua New Guinea, in group B. Defending champions West Indies, 2012 champion South Africa, New Zealand, Africa qualifier Kenya are placed in Group B. Notably, the Indian team has won the tournament thrice.
