In the second ODI against England at the Lord’s on Saturday, India set a notorious record of not hitting even a single six in a match after seven years. Indian batsman failed to hit any six in the match even as they managed to hit 16 fours. Earlier, India had a similar experience of not hitting a six in the semi-final of 2011 World Cup.
However, wicket-keeper MS Dhoni reached two crucial milestones in his career. He joined the elite list of wicket-keepers with 300 catches after grabbing Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes. He also became the second wicket-keeper, only after Sri Lanka's Sangakkara, to score 10,000 runs in ODIs.
India lost the match by 86 runs. England set a target of 323 runs after losing seven wickets in 50 overs. However, Virat Kohli’s men managed to score only 236 runs after losing all the wickets.
