IMRAN TAHIR SHARES POST ON CARRYING DRINKS FOR CSK PLAYERS WITH A MESSAGE; TWITTER INSTANTLY REACTS!
Home > News Shots > SportsSouth African and Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) leg-spinner Imran Tahir, is yet to play a game for the franchise in the ongoing IPL 2020 edition. Tahir, who has formed an instrumental part of CSK to the final last year, is yet to perform for the team in IPL 13.
Last year, fans also witnessed the South Africa leg-spinner, winning the Purple Cap; and they wait for his return this year too.
As IPL 2020 is on, Tahir was spotted carrying drinks on the field for his teammates. Ever since such photos and videos went viral, it has caused an uproar on social media.
Meanwhile with CSK’s low performance in the IPL 13, fans demand Tahir’s inclusion in the Playing XI. Amid all the uproar, Tahir took to his social media account, explaining how carrying drinks on the field doesn’t matter to him as long as he is part of the team.
“When I used to play many players carried drinks for me now when deserved players are in the field it’s my duty do return favors. It’s not about me playing or not it’s about my team winning. If I get a chance I will do my best but for me team is important #yellove @ChennaiIPL,” Tahir tweeted.
Tahir was the leading wicket-taker in IPL 2019; he had 26 wickets to his name. Currently, Sam Curran, Shane Watson, Faf du Plessis and Dwayne Bravo are the four overseas players who have been part of the team now.
Soon after Tahir's post went viral, fans hailed the CSK leg-spinner for taking the exclusion in his stride.

Man, I miss Tahir running after getting a wicket so much. You knew the opposition were dead after he started his 100 mile sprint https://t.co/FNxRnqcLwg
