HARYANA GOVT WITHDRAWS ORDER ASKING SPORTSPERSONS TO PART WITH EARNINGS

Earlier, the Haryana government had announced that sportspersons employed by the state governing body should hand over one-third of the income earned from professional sports or commercial endorsements to the state’s Sports Council.
However, after suffering backlash from athletes, the order has been withdrawn. Even the ones who weren't employed with the state government had reacted to the order with shock.
