Qatar has unveiled the logo for the 2022 World Cup on Tuesday which will be hosted by Gulf emirate.
“The Official Emblem of the FIFA #WorldCup Qatar 2022 embodies the vision of an event that connects and engages the entire world, while also featuring striking elements of local and regional Arab culture and allusions to the beautiful game,” the Twitter page of FIFA World Cup captioned a post with a GIF of the logo.
The design is a stylized Arabic white unisex shawl in a symbol of eight – which symbolizes infinity – creating a heart shape above the words “FIFA WORLD CUP Qatar 2022.” The logo has maroon patterning.
