The first ever sheet of MS Dhoni auctioned to Chennai Super Kings 11 years ago has been shared by IPl auctioneer Richard Madley on Twitter on Sunday, the day of IPL 2019 finals. CSK are defending their title from MI.
He has captioned the picture saying "Just found my one and only auction sheet for the historic first ever #VIVOIPL auction in 2008.
@msdhoni sold to @ChennaiIPL A rare piece of cricket memorabilia
Will be watching #CSKvMI on @hotstarUK #CricketMeriJaan #WhistlePodu #VIVOIPLFinal."

Fans in Twitter went for a nostalgic ride, many asking him to share the video footage. A fan went on to say how the sound of his hammer was his best memories from childhood.
CSK had paid a US$1.5 million to make the t20 winning captain, theirs. And ever since, MSD has been CSK's beloved captain.
Madley, who had conducted the IPL auctions for the last 11 years, was "hurt" with the way he was ignored for last year's event. “I confirmed my availability and all I got was a two-line email saying, ‘Your services are not required. We have chosen a replacement auctioneer.’ There was no explanation. I wonder what did I do wrong? What was my fault? I have maintained transparency and I expect the same treatment from them?”, reports The Hindu.
However, fans on Twitter are awaiting his presence in next auction. CSk's official Twitter handle has retweeted saying, "And the rest is #WhistlePodu."
