In a shocking case, a major fire broke out at Indian cricketer S. Sreesanth’s house in Kerala. This incident happened on Saturday morning.
As per India Today reports, cricketer Sreesanth was not present at his home when the fire broke out at 2:00 am. He was away shooting for a film in Mumbai. It happened in the ground floor of his Edapally residence.
But Sreesanth’s wife, children and domestic help were present at the time of the incident; none have been injured in the mishap.
On an immediate call, fire tenders from Thrikkakkara and Gandhi Nagar area rushed to the house and doused the fire. They also evacuated those present inside the house.
Media reports say that, the fire broke out in the drawing room in the ground floor. It is believed that a short circuit in a ceiling fan caused the fire.
It was only earlier this week that, Sreesanth's life ban was reduced to seven years when BCCI Ombudsman Justice (retd) DK Jain decided to end his suspension on September 12, 2020.
Soon after that, he expressed his desire to make a comeback in the Indian Test team and pick at least 100 wickets before ending his career.
Sreesanth was arrested by Delhi police on suspicion of spot-fixing during the sixth edition of the IPL in May 2013.
